Bioleaching of Nickel and Cobalt from Lateritic Chromite Overburden Using the Culture Filtrate of Aspergillus niger

摘要: Extraction of metals (Ni, Co) from chromite overburden Sukinda mines Orissa, India, with the culture filtrate Aspergillus niger was studied. Results showed that amounts leached varied directly reaction temperature and period fermentation. The analyzed for citric oxalic acids, contained only acid—the concentration which increased time. Although this acid played major role in leaching metals, other unidentified metabolites present influenced dissolution significantly. Maximum recovery raw roasted ore samples achieved at 80 °C 21-day containing highest amount acid. Under identical experimental conditions, much higher were ore. Microstructures particles studied by scanning electron microscopy transmission microscopy; bonding behaviors metal compounds identified Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy after chelation
