摘要: Background Temporomandibular joint (TMJ) ankylosis causes serious problems in oral functions. When it occurs childhood, can cause secondary dentofacial deformities. This study described our experience the simultaneous correction of TMJ and deformities performed a single operation. Methods Twenty-seven patients with were treated surgery from January 2009 to December 2013. Clinical outcomes assessed based on function, radiography, medical photography. Results No relapse (of ankylosis) occurred any during follow-up period. Oral function skeletal had (were) significantly improved all patients. Most satisfied final outcome. Conclusions One-stage treatment permits both functional deficit operation, which suggests that is an effective approach for patents
