摘要: The giant river shrimp (Macrobrachium rosenbergii), a native species of Thailand, is either exported for commercial purposes or supplied to meet the local requirements in Thailand. Limited pharmacokinetic information major antibiotic, oxytetracycline (OTC), available this freshwater shrimp. purpose present study was investigate muscle tissue kinetics OTC M. rosenbergii following intramuscular (i.m.) oral (p.o.) administration at two dosages 11 and 22 mg/kg body weight (b.w.). concentration tissues measured using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) equipped with fluorescence detector. Muscle concentrations were below detection limit (LOD, 0.1 microg/g) after 96 120 h, i.m. p.o. administration, respectively. Peak (C(max)) 3.47 1.73 microg/g single dose b.w. whereas they 6.03 2.51 b.w., A noncompartment model developed describe pharmacokinetics terminal half-lives 28.68 28.09 h but 29.95 27.03 relative bioavailability 82.32 64.67% Based on data, would be appropriate use farming. To avoid residue muscle, it should take least seven (8 days) wash out drug from rosenbergii.
