摘要: Background: Few experimental studies have analyzed the effects of selective radiofrequency (RF) lesions upon ventricular fibrillation (VF). The RF-induced isolation selected zones would make it possible to determine whether these are essential for existence arrhythmia. Methods: In 31 Langendorff-perfused rabbit hearts, characteristics and inducibility VF were before after induction RF comprising: (1) posterior zone septum walls both ventricles (n = 10); (2) anterior 11); (3) midseptal 10). Results: Complete encompassed by was obtained in 5, 6, 5 experiments series 1, 2, 3, respectively. experiments, arrhythmia only induced from within one experiment belonging 2 (P < 0.05 with respect baseline). contrast, all but cases could be outside isolated (ns vs Partial five each series. on pacing partially zone, sustained not any baseline), while external baseline). Conclusion: model used, three studied maintaining VF. most cases, their partial or total avoided those zones, though remaining myocardium.
