摘要: This chapter describes the role of immunohistochemica expression E-cadherin in diffuse-type gastric cancer. is a cell-adhesion molecule expressed epithelial cells. It plays an important maintenance tissue architecture, normal development, and tumor progression. In cancer, distribution frequently deranged. staining ranges from membrane localization at cell-cell contacts to abnormal cytoplasmic combined with partial pure negative staining. Mutation-specific antibodies, reacting mutant variants, lacking exon eight or nine are available can be used screen for most frequent mutations this malignancy. Abnormal absent determined antibody clone 36 identified 84% investigated cancer samples, predominantly tumors diffuse mixed type advanced stages. The impact mutation status E-cadherin, by immunohistochemistry (IHC), specimens on patient survival discussed chapter. also discusses normal, abnormal, survival.
