摘要: The survival rates and body masses of roe deer (Capreolus capreolus) were studied on the island Storfosna in central Norway relation to sex, age, season year. There no predators island, hunting was halted during study period, resulting a population increase from 10 40 individuals per km2 period 1991–1994. A total 352 individual radio-monitored monthly basis. Survival analyzed using MARK software. An age effect found separating fawns yearlings adults, for adults we furthermore year effect. evidence density dependence yearlings, but rates. We sex winter mass, significant conclude that (1) increased can have an without causing change (2) maintain very high under favourable environmental conditions even at densities (3) male reach equally as females circumstances.
