摘要: Research performed using model organisms such as mice and the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster has significantly enhanced our knowledge about cancer biology fundamental processes of cancer. This is because major biological properties genes associated with including signaling pathways, oncogenes, tumor suppressors, other regulators cell growth proliferation are evolutionary conserved. review provides bibliometric analysis research productivity, performance authors, institutions, countries, journals personalized animal models, focussing on role in research, thus highlighting emerging trends field. A total 1469 2672 original articles reviews for patient-derived xenograft (PDX) respectively, were retrieved from Scopus database most cited papers thoroughly analyzed. Our indicates a steadily increasing productivity models especially mouse research. In addition to many different systems that address almost all aspects humanized trend towards tailored screening platforms particular will become widespread future. Having recapitulate genetic given enable development validation novel therapeutic strategies specific cancers, provide platform small molecule inhibitors anti-tumor compounds. The combination PDX particularly highly promising should be one
