摘要: This project aims to develop a simple and economical Small Wind Turbine (SWT)design. The turbine is intended be used in regional Queensland, requiring an investigation into the available wind resources. Anthropogenic climate change driving world-wide renewable energy revolution. Rising fossil fuel prices as result of dwindling reserves prompting the investigation alternative sources. In Queensland presence market for small off-grid or remote area power supplies, has led consideration SWTs as increasingly viable source capable meeting future demands. This sets out three major objectives: 1. A complete SWT design integrating commercially components with engineered structural parts, some which may utilise fibre-composite materials. includes 3D parametric model, manufacturing drawings and system specifications. Considerable allowance given manufacture, installation, maintenance decommissioning. 2. An resources proposed installation site, sites that could benefit from use power; and, 3. estimation SWTs output total system price evaluate against similar products, Cost Benefit Analysis support feasibility. The research methodology was divided subparts: a) Conduct literature review investigating background information, current technology issues, form basis design. b) Research potential site by crossreferencing data Australian Bureau Meteorology information pertaining extent Queensland’s electricity distribution network. c) Develop synthesizing parts working conceptual solution.
