Elementary school children's perceptions of traditional Korean foods, based on the health belief model*

摘要: This study investigated the eating habits of elementary school children and their perceptions related to traditional Ko- rean foods, based on health belief model. The subjects were fifth grade (274 boys 274 girls) in eight Korean cities. results as follows: ate almost three meals per day grateful for meals. However, they irregularly consumed snacks. They tended eat heartily did not foods that had yet eaten. Their rice have eaten kimchi vegetables at every meal. undesirable other such fruits, fish, soybeans, sweet foods. sensitively or seriously perceive relation health. perceived it was very good nutrition, health, tastes pride style. Although expressed some difficulty regarding availability preparation hardly felt them. high dietary self-efficacy with regard these ex - cept two items self-regulation. showed positive correlation self-efficacy, susceptibility, benefit. In conclusion, are desirable, but serious. rela- tion nutrition a level them, Therefore, we suggest should be exposed various along education about order enhance concern motivation (Korean J Nutr 2013; 46(1): 86 ~ 97)
