摘要: Biodiversity is under significant threat globally and therefore the biodiversity input to environmental impact assessment (EIA) important. The quality of inputs need be high if protected, especially in areas with value. Here we follow-up reviews EIA reports, through interviews specialists who authored inputs, order find explanations for results. This first review research systematically engage this way. highlighted professional registration as a key factor supporting strengths around conduct gathering baseline information. Weaknesses identified relate dealing alternatives, public participation, prediction, well management actions monitoring arrangements, which seem result lack understanding and/or agreement on role process. results suggest that ideally should not seen one-off contribution but rather an iterative during different stages
