摘要: Increase in price of diesel fuels, stringent emission regulation, and foreseeable future depletion petroleum reserves forces us to research novel technologies meet human demands for environment energy. World’s supplies are getting constrained, attention has been directed find out alternative sources fuels engines. The nonrenewable nature limited resources have become a matter great concern. present reservation used internal combustion engines including will deplete within 40 years if consumed at an increasing rate estimated be order 3 % per annum. This work aims the prospects opportunities using methyl esters palm oil as automobile. Thus suitability such transportation vehicles helps saving foreign exchange. Tests were conducted on four stroke, single cylinder, D.I engine with Diesel, various blends Biodiesel preheating temperature. results performance tests compared biodiesel that neat diesel. result indicates blend B20 preheat temperature 60 °C, brake thermal efficiency is maximum while minimum specific fuel consumption observed compare other biodiesel.
