摘要: A luminescent glass includes nanocrystalline semiconductor particles, such as ZnS nanocrystals, and an activator, copper, for the particles. The is made by depositing particles activator within a porous matrix, 7930 VycorTM then thermally activating glass. matrix may be at least partially consolidated or allowed to remain porous. nanometer particle size permits glasses of present invention transparent its emsissions.
