摘要: This chapter will review the application of intrathecal baclofen (ITB) in management post-stroke hypertonia, a major complication that results deformity and discomfort, limits mobility performance activities daily living (ADL). Initially, ITB was considered only conditions characterized by severe multi-limb spastic hypertonia non-ambulatory individuals. Lately, is used persons with stroke who can ambulate, intent further improving walking ability. Early clinical experience evidence suggest when appropriate patient, efficacious safe managing individuals various functional levels. also situations are common population, which may influence treatment decision choices. There still ample opportunities to conduct research on this modality, especially areas patient selection outcomes population.
