摘要: In addition to impaired dopaminergic neurotransmission a dysfunctional noradrenergic system has been demonstrated in Parkinson's disease. L-threo-3,4-dihydroxyphenylserine (DOPS), synthetic precursor of noradrenaline (NA), appears be effective the treatment some akinetic symptoms parkinsonian patients. present study possible effect DOPS was studied rats, which catalepsy induced with haloperidol as model for akinesia. Intravenous infusion NA (1.5 and 15 mug/kg) or (2 4 mg/kg) male Wistar rats (240 - 290 g) significantly decreased catalepsy. The abolished by pretreatment peripheral decarboxylase inhibitor benserazide mg/kg). Pretreatment Ro 40-7592, catechol-O-methyltransferase inhibitor, potentiated prolonged anticataleptic DOPS. findings suggest site mediated action. Therapy may successful only without inhibitor. Moreover, therapeutic COMT inhibition.
