摘要: During the last years, an antimicrobial protein from RegIII family has been consistently identified as one of main up-regulated mRNA transcripts in pig small intestinal mucosa during different infections such enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli (ETEC). This transcript mainly referred to literature pancreatitis-associated (PAP/RegIIIα). However, identity this not confirmed, and no evidence its expression at level is available literature, because absence a specific antibody. In study, we first unequivocally PAP/RegIII expressed ETEC infected intestine RegIIIγ by 2D-DIGE MALDI-TOF/TOF. shows that differs species like human mice (and RegIIIα) might be major isotype infection. Immunoblotting analysis with specifically generated polyclonal rabbit antibody revealed throughout tract, but most abundantly ileum. Although higher abundance was paralleled abundance, lack linear relationship found between abundances jejunal mucosa, latter pronounced case natural may related secretory nature RegIIIγ. would mean good candidate non-invasive faecal health biomarker swine.
