摘要: Various microbial groups are well known to produce a range of extracellular enzymes and other secondary metabolites. However, the occurrence importance investment in such activities have received relatively limited attention studies Antarctic soil microbiota. Sixty-one yeasts strains were isolated from King George Island, Antarctica which characterized physiologically identified at molecular level using D1/D2 region rDNA. Fifty-eight (belonging genera Cryptococcus, Leucosporidiella, Rhodotorula, Guehomyces, Candida, Metschnikowia Debaryomyces) screened for amylolytic, proteolytic, esterasic, pectinolytic, inulolytic xylanolytic cellulolytic low moderate temperatures. Esterase activity was most common enzymatic expressed by yeast isolates regardless assay temperature inulinase second activity. No detected. One as Guehomyces pullulans (8E) showed significant across six seven types tested. Twenty-eight classified oleaginous, being isolate 8E strain that accumulated highest levels saponifiable lipids (42 %).
