摘要: Coronary atherosclerotic lesions are more often located eccentrically (70%) than concentrically (30%). In this study, the configuration of eccentric coronary artery was assessed by means computerized planimetry in 100 specimens arterial lesions. Special attention given to relation between disease-free wall and severity obstruction. The mean arc length measured 17 23% total vessel circumference that obstructed 50 90% cross-sectional area. This ratio persisted irrespective location lesion within not significantly different with vessels sizes. presence arcs as observed pathologic study may relate three factors clinical disease: 1) published observations spasm segments arteries harboring structural obstructive be explained frequent uninvolved walls. 2) Multiple views during arteriography necessary accurately reflect degree 3) results percutaneous transluminal angioplasty influenced both atheromatous
