Botulinum Toxin A (Botox) for Treatment of Proximal Myofascial Pain in Complex Regional Pain Syndrome: Two Cases

摘要: Objectives. To describe development of myofascial pain syndrome (MFPS) with trigger points in the proximal muscles patients complex regional (CRPS1) and improvement distal symptoms CRPS 1 after successful treatment MFPS. Setting Design. In our practice, we frequently encounter whom a develops ipsilateral to limb CRPS1 patients. We two such detail their treatment. Patient 1. A 48-year-old woman experienced severe allodynia, swelling autonomic changes right hand surgery for carpal tunnel syndrome. Over succeeding months, she developed painful trapezius upper back which was treated administration botulinum toxin (BoNT-A) into (20 unit/point). Patient 2. 41-year-old following traumatic forearm injury suffered from affecting left forearm. Proximal MFPS gradually on same side over 12 months BoNT-A trapezius, splenius capitis, rhomboid muscle points. Results. both improved CRPS1. Conclusion. CRPS1. Administration affected may alleviate discoloration and, tissue CRPS.
