摘要: We compare wolf diet and prey selectivity for two periods: 1974–1976, when deer were at low density (< 0.4/km2) had even disappeared locally, 1980–1984, they became fairly abundant (about 3/km2). A total of 1166 scats analysed the remains 296 killed by predation found. Although moose present in both areas, wolves fed primarily on winter this species almost locally. In summer, beaver made up more than 75% diet, irrespective density. Wolves preyed mainly prime-age periods scarcity, but selected fawns older animals abundant. Under these conditions, can have "antiregulatory" effects populations.
