摘要: Recent studies show that large multinational enterprises (MNEs) adopt an organizational unit, called host-country headquarters (HCHQ), in key foreign countries (Ma and Delios, 2010; Ma, Delios Lau, 2013). In this study, we examine the factors are associated with establishment of HCHQ by US firms China. We hypothesize is both firm-specific host country-specific factors. find firm's scope diversification degree internationalization, strategic importance country subsidiary country. The findings based on archival data U.S. Fortune 500 firms. add to understanding important structure China, possibly MNE structures more widely countries.
