摘要: We present a polyfill solution for replacing inaccessible images of molecules with fully web-accessible chemistry diagrams. Thereby marked up bitmap on client web site are extracted, server side recognised and semantically enriched to generate scalable vector graphics (SVG) embedded chemical information. These then re-inserted into the original page providing readers accessibility features such as speech output interactive exploration together synchronised highlighting magnification. Our works most combinations browsers screen reading software all major desktop platforms, while it is currently only implemented diagrams, extensible other STEM subject areas.
