摘要: OBJECTIVES: There is a direct relationship between the regression of left ventricular hypertrophy (LVH) and decreased risk mortality. This investigation aimed to describe effects anti-hypertensive drugs on cardiac through meta-analysis literature. METHODS: The Medline (via PubMed), Lilacs Scielo databases were searched using subject keywords hypertrophy, antihypertensive We analyze effect ventricle hypertrophy. RESULTS: main we described enalapril, verapamil, nifedipine, indapamina, losartan, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors atenolol. These are usually used in follow up programs, however, studies investigated different protocols. Enalapril (angiotensin-converting inhibitor) verapamil (Ca++ channel blocker) caused regress LVH rats. enalapril nifedipine similar. Indapamina (diuretic) had stronger than losartan (angiotensin II receptor type 1 (AT1) antagonist) produced better results atenolol (selective β1 with respect regression. CONCLUSION: induced various degrees hypertrophic
