Relationship of afferent inputs to the lattice of high NADPH-diaphorase activity in the mouse superior colliculus

摘要: In the intermediate gray layer of superior colliculus there is a lattice high NADPH-diaphorase activity which represents terminal distribution number extrinsic afferent systems. These include inputs from dorsal cholinergic column and cells in precommissural nucleus dorsolateral wedge central substance. Other afferents that terminate layer, such as input brachium inferior (BIN), are almost completely segregated above show very little overlap with lattice. It suggested substance may have role nociception while BIN provide an important source auditory information.
