摘要: Purpose – This study seeks to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence (EI), personality, cognitive and leadership effectiveness.Design/methodology/approach Senior executives (n=41) completed an ability measure of EI (MSCEIT), a personality (16PF5) (the Wechsler abbreviated scale (WASI)). Leadership effectiveness was assessed using objective performance 360° assessment involving each leader's subordinates direct manager (n=149).Findings Correlational regression analyses revealed that higher associated with effectiveness, explained variance not by either or IQ.Originality/value paper establishes link workplace measures effectiveness.
