Some structures in the human myometrium, namely; caveolae, extracellular space gap junctions were quantified tissues from nonpregnant women, women who not labor, spontaneous labor or oxytocin-induced order to reveal morphologic differences that would contribute explaining events leading labor. Transmission electron micrographs taken twenty-four pregnant ten studied.Results. Differences observed cell growth which was accompanied by enlargement of space, junctions. Gap demonstrated even one postmenopausal woman.
