摘要: Human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells (hUCMSCs) are inexhaustible and can be harvested at a low cost without an invasive procedure. However, there has been no report on comparing hUCMSCs with human bone marrow MSCs (hBMSCs) for regeneration in vivo. The aim of this study was to investigate hUCMSC hBMSC seeding macroporous calcium phosphate cement (CPC), compare their critical-sized cranial defects rats. Cell attachment, osteogenic differentiation mineral synthesis RGD-modified CPC were investigated vitro. Scaffolds implanted 8-mm athymic Bone via micro-CT histological analysis 4, 12, 24 weeks. Three groups tested: hUCMSCs, hBMSCs, control cells. Percentage live cell density vitro similarly good hBMSCs. Both had high expressions alkaline phosphatase, osteocalcin, collagen I, Runx2. trabecular thickness vivo greater than those group. New amount hUCMSC-CPC hBMSC-CPC constructs increased by 57% 88%, respectively, while blood vessel 15% 20%, group generally statistically similar density, new density. In conclusion, seeded shown match the efficacy hBMSCs first time. generated much more vessels Macroporous RGD-grafted is promising craniofacial orthopedic repairs.
