摘要: Aim:  The aim of this study was to evaluate microvessel density (MVD) and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) expression in sinus augmentation with Bio-Oss®. Methods:  Twenty patients participated study. sinuses were filled 100% Bio-Oss®. Implants inserted after 3 months group A, 6 months B. A trephine used harvest bone cores. As control, the pre-existing subantral used. Results:  mean MVD control 23.6 ± 1.8. In sites augmented Bio-Oss®, at 3 months, 23.3 ± 2.1, while retrieved 29.5 ± 2.4. difference between not statistically significant. B significant (P < 0.05). statistical analysis showed that (P < 0.05). Conclusions:  Bio-Oss® seemed induce an increase reached a higher value 6 months. percentage vessels positive VEGF than Our data also vessel stromal cells values areas where there newly formed compared maturation processes occuring, fact could point close spatial relationship angiogenesis osteogenesis.
