摘要: The present study is contributed to the removal of excess fluoride in drinking water using cerium dispersed carbon (CeDC), a hybrid sorbent which was prepared by carbonization ammonium sulfate impregnated starch. One synthesized CeDC sample with specific surface area 685 cm(2) g(-1), investigated for its scavenging ability as function pH, concentration, temperature, co-ions and adsorbent dosage. verification various kinetic models viz., Pseudo I, II order; Ritchie Intra-particle diffusion Elovich gave acceptable results. isotherm Langmuir, Freundlich, Temkin Generalized Langmuir were also checked sorption process. capacity (q(m)) found be 209 mg g(-1) high R-L value 0.699. maximum uptake determined 52 at pH 8.07. FTIR, SEM XRD characterization studies carried out material. successful regeneration spent performed an alkaline washing followed acidic activation. This allows use cost-effective anions water.
