摘要: To evaluate the role of immunologic mechanisms in one specific syndrome food intolerance infants, protein-induced enterocolitis, we measured class-specific serum antibodies to three proteins, ovalbumin, soy, and cow milk, prior diagnostic challenges 18 infants suspected have this syndrome. Infants with positive challenge reactions egg, or milk had 5-10 times higher levels IgA antibody directed against that than did negative challenges. Levels IgG soy egg were also significantly (greater 10-fold) responses. There was no significant difference IgM between two groups. anti-soy rose all 12 tested 2-10 weeks after a single feeding (challenge). However, increased five who response decreased those seven response. The groups statistically (P less 0.01). Some correlation existed (r = -0.68) increase decrease for Although pathogenic these is not proven, findings suggest an altered ingestion antigens enterocolitis.
