摘要: Migraine is common in patients with Sturge-Weber syndrome, yet treatment options are poorly described. An Internet-based questionnaire was completed anonymously by 104 syndrome patients, 74 of whom reported experiencing migraines (median age, 25 years; range, 3-64 years). Sixteen (22%) subjects self-reported trying triptans. Five 12 (42%) describing triptan response believed they were very efficacious time onset 26 minutes), compared to 13 65 (20%) using over-the-counter analgesics (P = .08). Eighty-eight percent (14/16) users that when do not use medications, had a moderate severe impact on their quality life; however, while taking triptans, only 50% (7/14) such an .03). Two triptans transient unilateral weakness. Of the (35%) who received daily preventative 80% experienced improved life. In addition, 10 24 significant negative life use, 22 (85%) without .002). and agents self-reporting good efficacy. The small sample size precludes any safety analysis, future prospective trials both needed.
