摘要: Objectives To ascertain the prevalence of pancreatic cysts detected incidentally on 3-Tesla magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) abdomen and correlate this with patient age gender; assess number, location, size these lesions, as well features suspicious for malignancy; determine dilatation main duct (MPD). Methods Retrospective analysis 2,678 reports patients who underwent abdominal MRI between January 2012 June 2013. Patients a known history conditions or surgery were excluded, remaining 2,583 examined presence cysts, which was then correlated gender. We also assessed whether solitary multiple, their location within parenchyma, size, malignancy. Finally, we calculated incidental MPD dilatation, defined diameter ≥ 2.5 mm. Results Pancreatic in 9.3% (239/2,583). The increased significantly (p<0.0001). There no significant differences men women (p=0.588). Most multiple (57.3%), distributed diffusely throughout pancreas (41.8%), 5 mm larger (81.6%). In 12.1% cases, exhibited Overall, 2.7% subjects dilatation. Conclusions In sample, 3T 9.3%. Prevalence not associated majority through size; An estimated had dilated MPD.
