摘要: Voltage-dependent Shaker-related (Kv1) K+ channels are composed of transmembrane α subunits and peripheral Kv β proteins that exist as octomers with (α)4(β)4 stoichiometry. Although several (designated Kv1.X) three known to be expressed in brain, their oligomeric combinations neurons have yet deciphered. Herein, the comprising a number neuronal from bovine brain cortex were deduced by immunoprecipitation Western blotting, using antibodies specific for Kv1.X subtypes. Only subset theoretically possible oligomers was detected, showing synthesis and/or assembly these multisubunit is controlled yield limited variety channels. Except small population Kv1.4 containing channels, all recognizable species contained Kv1.2 β2 subunits. Furthermore, subpopulations identified including fully defined complex Kv1.2/1.3/1.4/1.6 β2, plus o...
