摘要: A two-step direct radioimmune test was used to detect hepatitis B virus associated antigen in human serum or plasma. The procedure involved the use of polypropylene tubes coated with hyperimmune guinea pig serum, and 125 I-labeled specific immune globulin. technique appeared be more sensitive than other immunologic assays, including indirect methods based on competition unlabeled antigen. Various blood donor populations were tested for by test, complement fixation, agar gel diffusion counterimmunoelectrophoresis. increased sensitivity resulted detection about 3 8 times as many positive sera above three methods. percentages assay were: 1% volunteer donors, 2% commercial donors 40% hepatitis-implicated patients.
