摘要: Prior to the onset of hearing, synchronous cellular, neuronal, and morphogenetic processes participate in development a functional cochlea. We have studied expression different splice forms trkB trkC as well p75NGFR rat mouse cochlea within this critical developmental period, using situ hybridization, PCR, Northern blotting, immunohistochemical analyses. An antibody full-length receptors proved detect truncated trkB.T2 but not trkB.T1 isoforms. Full-length isoforms were noted cochlear neurons. A transient was observed at epithelial–mesenchymal border spiral ligament during time. sequential appearance trkB.T1, low-affinity neurotrophin receptor p75NGFR, epithelial cells correlated with formation inner sulcus organ. differential presumptive hair supporting concomitant maturation distinct innervation pattern these cells. gradual shift from Pillar occurred tunnel Corti. time differentiation stria vascularis. Finally, an oligodendrocytes, nerve fibers, Schwann glial interface VIIIth establishment transition zone. These various transitory patterns, which related final cochlea, may provide new insights into yet obscure role nonneuronal tissue. J. Comp. Neurol. 414:33–49, 1999. © 1999 Wiley-Liss, Inc.
