摘要: Publisher Summary Proton nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) analyses have been made of the conformational characteristics modified nucleotides as found in first position anticodons transfer RNAs (tRNAs), namely derivatives 5-methyl-2-thiouridine 5'-monophosphate (pxm 5 s 2 U) and 5-hydroxyuridine (pxo U). In pxm U, C 3'-endo form is remarkably more stable than 2'-endo for ribose ring, because effects bulky 2-thiocarbonyl group long-chain 5-substituent. By contrast, pxo much form, interaction between 5-substituent 5'-phosphate group. The enthalpy differences obtained 1.1, -0.7, 0.1 kca1 /mol unmodified uridine 5'-monophosphate, respectively. xm U anticodon takes only to recognize A third letter codon, whereas xo well A, G codon on ribosome.
