摘要: Abstract Given the high relapse rate of opiate addicts following detoxification, it is pertinent to identify whether any subjective variables mediate outcome, since these may then be targets treatment. The present study assessed personality, cue-elicited craving, outcome expectancies for drug use, and self-efficacy resisting in 43 receiving inpatient detoxification either a specialist drug-dependence unit or behavioral/ general psychiatric ward, within context randomised, controlled-treatment trial. Subjects were followed-up at between 1 3 months again 6 after discharge. Frequency use was not predicted by first follow-up; but months, subjects with lower higher positive found using less often. Latency lapse greater anxiety neuroticism scores. Precipitants identified, none relationships circumstances emerged. It suggested that awareness personal vulnerability promote effective coping strategies.
