摘要: Abstract This study investigates changes over time (2006–2012) in the composition of agro-forest landscape mosaics Rome, Italy, and discusses dynamics light ecological networks’ design management. A multi-temporal analysis land-use allows an empirical test hypothesis that urban expansion has a non-negligible role degradation loss natural agricultural land under environmental constraints. Recent different components Rome’s network (REP) negatively affected frequency size semi-natural habitats. Empirical results pointed out establishing statutory REP partially contained metropolitan areas, while cropland were still converted to settlements relatively high rate. Implications such for policies preserving agro-environmental connectivity are discussed more ‘holistic’ strategy fragmentation containment.
