摘要: Ultrastructural events occurring during the yeast-like to mycelial phase conversion of dimorphic fungal pathogen Sporotrichum schenckii were studied by electron microscopy thin sections. Discrete intracytoplasmic membrane systems formed as early 6 h after induction stimuli. Within 12 18 h, a transitional cell was from parent cell. Definite streaming cytoplasm and mitochondria noted before septal formation in intermediate Although wall is present two distinct layers, only inner layer persists upon formation. Yeast-like reorganization S. resembles closely that described for Histoplasma capsulatum, Blastomyces dermatitidis, Paracoccidioides brasiliensis, it suggested yeast mold transformation these fungi may proceed via common conversional mechanism.
