摘要: Abstract Samples of ascorbic acid-stimulated submandibular saliva were collected from 16 subjects once every hour a 24-hour period. Circadian rhythms demonstrated in flow rate and concentrations sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, phosphate, protein, nitrogen carbohydrate; these best described by combination fundamental sine curve 24-h period its first harmonic. Modal times maxima minima varied less between with than unstimulated saliva. The circadian range values was approximately 50 per cent the mean values. To minimize variation due to rhythms, stimulated should preferably be early afternoon when most components show or minima.
