Phonon properties in narrow gap FeSi and FeSb2 single crystals

摘要: We review the phonon analysis of FeSi and present a new study Raman infrared (IR) active phonons related compound FeSb2. The measurements are supplemented by factor group analysis, enabling full mode assignment. While in FeSi, all nine modes predicted theory visible our spectra, FeSb2, three six have been observed. unusual temperature dependence linewidth has interpreted terms electron-phonon interactions. In Fano-like IR absorption is reported at 300K, indicating coupling. asymmetry vanishes damping constant decreases drastically cooling, correspondence with depletion charge carrier concentration.
