摘要: The diversion and recovery of organic waste are one the most significant opportunities challenges for reducing environmental impacts disposal internationally, as recognised by United Nations’ SDG 12 that seeks to “ensure sustainable consumption production patterns”. This issue is particularly pertinent developed countries, like Australia, who have a high propensity removal arising from their industrial domestic use products, materials consumables. Through GIS technology, using modelling software Global Methane Initiative, series simulations were undertaken determine viability an anaerobic digester City Greater Geelong (COGG), located in State Victoria (Australia), where constitute over 25% all land-filled. Using only municipal waste, concluded COGG would generate between AU$6M-AU$11M/annum sale biogas/methane.
