摘要: An examination of three inbred strains mice differing with respect to liver and kidney catalase activity reveals two distinct genetic factors controlling the level activity. The first factor controls catalytic enzyme. Specific purified enzyme from C57BL/6 C57BL/Ha is 60% that DBA/2 strain. second content catalase. Liver CS7BL/Ha degraded in vivo at a rate one-half C57BL/6, resulting accumulation twice as many molecules C57BL/Ha. affecting turnover apparently specific for since no differences exist levels between C57BL/6. Furthermore, this does not appear alter metabolism peroxisomes or protein substantial are observed among urate oxidase protein. It particularly significant amount so by altering degradation rather than synthesis, confirming previously published report Rechcigl Heston (Biochem. Biophys. Res. Commun., 27, 119 (1967)). Thus, these studies emphasize quantity an animal cells balance synthesis
