Deletion mapping of gliomas suggest the presence of two small regions for candidate tumor-suppressor genes in a 17-cM interval on chromosome 10q.

摘要: The loss of genetic material on chromosome 10q is frequent in different tumors and particularly malignant gliomas. We analyzed 90 these found heterozygosity (LOH) >90% the informative loci glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Initial studies restricted common LOH region to 10q24-qter. Subsequently, study a pediatric GBM suggested D10S221 D10S209, respectively, as centromeric telomeric markers 4-cM region. It interesting note that, one subset cells from this tumor, locus D10S209 seems involved allelic imbalance larger region, with D10S214 marker. This 17-cM contains D10S587-D10S216 interval deletion recently defined another set
