Therapeutic options for the management of hot flashes in breast cancer survivors: an evidence-based review.

摘要: Abstract Background: Women with breast cancer may experiencetreatment-induced menopausal symptoms or natural menopause. Menopausal symptoms, particularly hot flashes, are reported at a high frequency in this group and tend to be more severe, distressing, of greater duration than controls. Results: A number nonpharmacologic approaches available survivors, although they appear limited effectiveness. Complementary alternative medicine therapies vitamin E have been found modest effectiveness best, data their long-term safety not available. Centrally active such as antidepressants venlafaxine paroxetine antiseizure agent gabapentin shown clinical reasonably well tolerated population.
