摘要: Diagnostic nasal cytology has been advocated for use in distinguishing allergic from nonallergic rhinitis. We sought to determine prospectively the frequency of eosinophilia (NE) 100 patients whom having rhinitis (AR), rhinitis, and other atopic conditions not involving respiratory tract have diagnosed. A smear was obtained consenting adults using Rhino-Probe curette. Patients taking local or systemic corticosteroids, those with chronic associated aspirin sensitivity, sinusitis were excluded. All cytograms coded read by a single "blinded" investigator. NE considered significant if greater than 20% sampled cells eosinophils. Twenty-six 61 (43%) AR had NE.
