摘要: A group of transcription factors (TF) that are master developmental regulators the establishment and maintenance pluripotency during embryogenesis play additional roles to control tissue homeostasis regeneration in adults. Among these TFs, members octamer-binding factor (OCT) gene family well documented as major controlling self-renewal stem cells isolated from different adult organs including brain. In last few years a large number studies show aberrant expression dysfunction OCT types cancers glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). GBM is most common malignant primary brain tumor, contains subpopulation undifferentiated (GSCs), with tumorigenic potential contribute tumor initiation, invasion, recurrence, therapeutic resistance. this review, we have summarized current knowledge about their crucial role drug resistance properties GSCs. This article part Special Issue entitled: The Oct Transcription Factor Family, edited by Dr. Dean Tantin.
