摘要: This paper presents the life cycle assessment (LCA) carried out on manganese beneficiation and refining process. cradle-to-gate analysis is using SimaPro software version 8.5. The considered case process, final product 1 kg of refined manganese. global average dataset collected from EcoInvent AusLCI database, which are originated literature source. methodologies in this study International Life Cycle Reference Data System (ILCD) method Cumulative Energy Demand (CED) method. A comparative also presented compared among ILCD, Australian Indicator, Tool for Reduction Assessment Chemicals Other Environmental Impacts (TRACI) methods to identify best practice mining processes. detailed sensitivity has been considering different scenarios, suggest possible solutions reduce environmental impacts associated with results reveal that particulate matter, climate change, categories eutrophication, human toxicity (cancer non-cancer effects), acidification some noteworthy impact categories. showed coal consumption significantly higher than other types renewables non-renewable energy further chromium steel process ferromanganese a significant effect over materials involved operations. obvious reason behind result utilization as an energy-intensive turn increases emissions. that, between much greater environment rather due fossil fuel electricity
