摘要: Abstract Mining of iron ore is a highly capital- and energy-intensive process. Life cycle assessment (LCA) the mining mineral processing in Australia was carried out this chapter using SimaPro LCA software as case study. The environmental impacts considered study were embodied energy greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, while functional unit 1 t ore, ready for transport to downstream metal extraction refining facilities. Inventory data these stages calculated by authors. estimated GHG emissions 11.9 kg CO 2 e ore. values 153 MJ/t results showed that loading hauling made largest contributions (approximately 50%) total from These indicate efforts reduce footprint should focus on stages.
