摘要: Abstract Aim of the work The aim study was to assess role Toll-like receptor-9 (TLR9) gene polymorphism in rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and evaluate its association with disease activity severity Egyptian patients. Patients methods included 100 RA patients matched controls. Genotyping TLR9 -1486 T/C (rs187084) for all participants performed. Medical Records-Based Index Severity (RARBIS), modified Health Assessment Questionnaire (mHAQ), score (DAS28) clinical laboratory parameters were assesses Anti-cyclic citrullinated peptide antibodies (anti-CCP) factor (RF) also determined. Results mean age 43.7 ± 8.9 years 73 females 27 males duration 13.3 ± 6.2 years. DAS28 3.5 ± 1.1, RARBIS 6.6 ± 2.8 mHAQ 1.4 ± 0.8. frequency TT genotype carriers significantly higher than controls (27% 9% respectively). Similarly, T allele more frequent comparison (56.5% 42% No significant found between genotypes gender or at onset. reflecting showed no genotype. TRL9 genotyping presence RF anti-CCP antibodies. Conclusion is associated increased susceptibility
