摘要: Tau in PHF is known to be highly phosphorylated and immunochemical study has indicated the similarity of phosphorylation between PHF-tau fetal tau. We have determined exact sites both rat tau by ion-spray mass spectrometry sequencing ethanethiol-modified peptides. In PHF-tau, 19 been identified; all except for Ser-262 are localized amino- carboxyl-terminal flanking regions microtubule-binding domain. Half them shared Thus, much more phosphorylated. Whereas most proline-directed, half nonproline-directed. Overall, hyperphosphorylation can considered consist fetal-type additional proline-directed nonproline-directed phosphorylation. This extraphosphorylation may provide with unusual characteristics including assembly incompetence.
